Terkko Glass Lab is Terkko's initiative to investigate the possibilities of Google Glass in medicine.

Google Glass is a wearable computer with a head-mounted prism display (HMD) / head up display (HUD) which sits little above eyeline. You can see what is on the display by glancing up. The glasses also have a camera, microphone, GPS, Wifi, Bluetooth and use bone induction to give you sound and more.... Google Glass can interact with the Internet via natural language voice commands. You say "ok glass" to get a range of options including send messages and taking videos. It has also a voice, speech and objects recognition.

The entire Glass experience is basically a web app. Owners sign on with OAuth2 to let services post things to their timeline in the form of timeline Cards, simple web pages that contain things like images, text, and markup, and can optionally tap into Glass functions like text-to-speech.

A consumer version will be available by the end of 2013 for less than 1000€. Google is also currently working on models that can be used with prescription lenses.
