Table of Contents
Maamme romaani tarkastelee Suomen itsenäisyyden ajan romaania. Sitä käydään läpi vuosikymmenittäin, muutama teos kerrallaan. Klassikoiden ohella huomiota saavat myös vähemmän tunnetut romaanit. "Suomalainen orjatyttö" kohtaa "Eevan luokan". "Nuorena nukkuneen" seurana on "Uni". "Simpauttaja" saa rinnalleen "Surupukuisen naisen" ja "Ihmisen joka järkkyi". Mukana on myös "Kissani Jugoslavia", perässään "Kvanttivaras!". Selväksi käy, että maamme romaani saati sen esittämä suomalaisuus eivät ole yksisuuntaisia asioita. Lajista, kuten meistä, on moneksi.
